Surgery at HCB Denia
Drs Lucas Kleijn operates at HCB Denia with a permanent, multidisciplinary team including an anaesthetist and assistants. Everyone interacts to ensure a smooth operation.
Upon arrival at the HCB, the secretariat will coordinate practical matters with you. In general, you will have an interview with the anaesthesiologist at the Denia location 1 or 2 days before the operation. This will look at any general medical details you may have.
We will also discuss with you whether the operation will take place under anaesthesia or whether you and the anaesthesiologist will opt for a so-called spinal puncture, which may also be combined with an intoxication.
After the operation, you will stay in the HCB for another 1 or 2 days, after which you will be discharged from hospital and collected by staff from the rehabilitation centre of your choice.

The rehabilitation centre is in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Benidorm. The centre has its own transport, the driver will pick you up at the hospital to recover here in optimal conditions.

You can go to Medifit HCB for rehabilitation after your hip surgery. They provide intensive and personalised rehabilitation programmes.
After your stay and hip surgery in HCB Denia hospital, you will be transferred to the Medifit rehabilitation centre in Denia. Here you will stay on a full-board basis. Treatments will be carried out in the treatment rooms, exercise rooms and indoor swimming pool (if possible).
